At lunch yesterday, I went to see installation by Gregor Kregar in Civic Square. It consists of 12 sheep dressed in brightly coloured woollen jumpers. They were really cute.

Well last night, I combined a visit to the Eygptian exhibition at Te Papa with the launch of Age Pryor’s new album at Mighty, Mighty. The exhibition was really well done, focusing on the funeral customs of the period. It’s not a big exhibition but quite detailed with some really interesting stuff, like mummified animals and translations from Books of the Dead.
The album launch was okay but it wasn’t the greatest venue for it. The first act was a guy singing with an accoustic guitar, who it was really heard to hear. Age Pryor was really good but again there was still quite alot of background noise and it was baking hot in there.
On Tuesday, I went to the opening of the new Untouched World store in Wellington. There were lots of gorgeous clothes, though way above my price range. I also got to introduced to Helen Clarke, the Prime Minister of New Zealand. It’s probably not that exciting to most Kiwis but my Mum was impressed!
Anyway, it was a good evening with lovely wine and nibbles. The goody bag was pretty great too, including Green & Blacks chocolate, lip balm and a lipstick.
I’ve just added my first photo page, which will show pictures from my trip in November round the north island. So take a look.
Okay so it wasn’t quite conquered but on Sunday, I did manage to walk all the way up Mount Victoria. I’m pretty proud of this and still slight amazed that I made it, considering that about 9months ago, I was walking with a stick.
